A shelter dog on a trail is a completely different dog.
Kennel stress makes good dogs look like bad ones. Get them out on a trail for two hours and you see who they actually are — and so does everybody else on the hike.
That is the whole idea behind the adoption hikes. Nine dogs have gone home with someone from this community so far. We are not stopping at nine.

Adoptions all go through our partner rescue — I am not the one doing the paperwork, just the introductions.
